Help the Sárkánykard team Reach the World Stage!
Seven dedicated athletes — one unforgettable goal.
We are the Hungarian Traditional Kungfu Team — a group of 9 athletes, proudly selected to represent Hungary at the 10th Traditional Kungfu World Championship in Emeishan, China, taking place from October 14–20, 2025.
This prestigious event brings together martial artists from around the globe to celebrate the spirit, discipline, and tradition of kungfu. For us, it's more than just a competition — it's the culmination of years of training, sacrifice, and passion.
But we need your support to get there.
Travel, accommodation, gear, and entry fees come at a high cost. As a self-funded team, every contribution — big or small — helps us take one step closer to standing proudly on the world stage, showcasing Hungarian talent and dedication in this ancient art.
Why support us?
You're helping young athletes pursue their dreams
You're putting Hungary on the global kungfu map
You're investing in discipline, perseverance, and cultural exchange

Let’s show the world the strength of Hungarian spirit — united in kungfu.
We are members of Kungfu Sports Association “Sárkánykard Egyesület”, located in Budapest, Hungary and we are raising funds to participate in the 9th World Kungfu Championships, which will take place in Emeishan, China on August 23-28th.
The members of our team qualified with their outstanding performance to represent Hungary as part of the national kungfu team. We need to raise 4 million HUF to participate!

Athlete of the year 2022 in kungfu
Our team was prepared for this great competition under the leadership of István Varga, president of our sports club and the Hungarian Traditional Kungfu and Wushu Association.
We all have achieved great results at Hungarian, European and other International Championships, we train hard every day and do our best to worthily represent Hungary in the World Kungfu Championships.
Unfortunately, the travel costs are enormous — air tickets, accommodation costs and the price for transportation of the equipment reach up to 4 million HUF (10 000 EUR).
Due to the poor state support of the sport of kungfu, the Hungarian Kungfu Federation cannot cover all the costs of the national team, that's why the athletes bear all the expenses on their own. Most of us are minors and students, we can hardly afford it and are looking for the help of the community. Please help us raise the money — every little donation counts!
The easiest way to make a contribution is to make a donation to the bank account of our Sports Association:
Sárkánykard Kung-fu és Wu-shu Sportegyesület
VAT: 18696956-1-41
MKB Bank: 10300002-20156938-00003285
(Please write in the reference: "Kungfu VB 2023")
If you are a sports company, producing sports clothes, you can also contribute by supplying our team with national sports clothing.
In appreciation of your donation we can offer you:
Shaolin kungfu demonstration at your venue;
Photo sessions with your products;
Your company's logo on the team's T-shirt at the World Championships, other events and in our social media (website, Facebook, Youtube).
We are open to any kind of cooperation and we are happy to answer any questions!
THANK YOU!
